Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts.
Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and
peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call
on the Lord with pure hearts. II Timothy 2: 22
The Bible’s guidelines for dating & marriage relationships:
Never become involved in a relationship only because it makes you feel good. You should only be involved in a romantic relationship if you care about the other person as much as you care about yourself.
There should be no living together and no type of sexual activity until you are married.
It is okay for Christians to date or marry someone of any race but you should only date or marry another Christian.
Specifically related to marriage the Bible teaches:
A marriage is to be a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman.
Men should love their wives as much as possible and wives should respect and support their husbands.
Keep yourselves from sexual promiscuity. I Thessalonians 4: 3
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. II Corinthians 6: 14
And this is why a man leaves father and mother and cherishes his wife. No longer two, they become “one flesh.” Ephesians 5: 31
Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ… Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Ephesians 5: 22 & 25
