Judgment

Remember, we will all stand before the
judgment seat of God. Romans 14: 10b

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. II Corinthians 5: 10

And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you. Matthew 12:36 –37

The Bible is clear we will all stand before God and be judged for what we have done, even for the words we spoke. The Bible even paints a picture of what that will be like:

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books… And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20: 11a, 12, 15

If you have accepted Jesus as Lord and been baptized, then your name is in the Book of Life and you will go to heaven. If you have not accepted Jesus, then you will not.
† But even those who are going to heaven will be judged and rewarded based on what they have done on earth.

But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
I Corinthians 3: 13 – 14
