Faith

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for
whoever would draw near to God must believe that he
exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

The best definition of faith comes through combining two popular verses in the Bible.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11: 1

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.
Romans 4: 20 – 21

Christian faith is being convinced that you can trust what God says and especially being certain that you can trust the promises of God.
† God says that we can have faith in what He says and what He promises because His previous statements and promises have all come true.

Some of the promises God wants you to have faith in are:
† That Jesus’ death is all you need to cover your sins
† That Jesus is coming back to take us to heaven
† And that living the way Jesus asks us to is best

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. I Peter 3: 18a

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. John 14: 3

My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10b
